  • Always trim your wick to about 5mm (¼ inch) before lighting.
  • This helps prevent smoking, ensures an even burn, and keeps your candle looking clean.
  • For the first burn, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the container.
  • This prevents tunneling and helps your candle last longer.
  • Never burn your candle for more than 3–4 hours at a time.
  • Let it cool and reset before lighting it again.
  • Place candles on a flat, heat-resistant surface and away from fans, open windows, or air conditioners.
  • Drafts can cause uneven burning or flickering.
  • Use a candle snuffer or gently dip the wick into the melted wax and lift it out to avoid smoke.
  • Blowing out your candle can cause soot or splatter.
  • Stop burning your candle when about 10mm of wax remains.
  • This protects your container and surfaces from heat damage.
  • Keep candles away from direct sunlight or heat when not in use.
  • This prevents discoloration and helps preserve the scent.
  • After use, clean out the remaining wax and reuse the jar for storage, plants, decor or pen holder.
  • It’s a small step toward a more sustainable routine.
